What is it? The day will provide you the information and understanding of planning processes and considerations that go into responsible fuel reduction burning. This will include weather, equipment, environmental considerations and much more. There will be PowerPoint presentations and real-life discussions and examples of the how to and why. There will be time (45 minutes to one hour) outside looking at fuel loads and assessments. With afternoon breakout sessions doing some desktop assessments on multiple blocks with different considerations. There will also be a planned training burn nearby that interested parties can register for (more information will be available closer to the workshop date). When: Saturday 16 May, 9am – 4pm.
