TAFE - Horticulture Supervisor Training

TAFE is offering a Horticulture Supervisor Training program to support supervisors with a range of skills including leadership, quality assurance and workplace health and safety.

This accredited training is being offered in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie and has been tailored to the fruit, vegetable and grape growing sectors to address current and future workforce needs. It is designed to upskill and support supervisors, providing them with the knowledge and skills to effectively lead a team and manage the performance of others.

The program focuses on work health and safety, leading effective teams, coordinating work site activities and quality assurance. It is delivered over eight weeks and involves four full day workshops in local regions, online webinars along with on farm training and assessment.

Subsidised by the Tasmanian Government, entry is via nomination by farming business employers. This training is a great opportunity for employers to support their new and emerging supervisors. Employers who would like their staff to undertake this training can register their interest now for the September intake, this is a great opportunity for businesses to get their supervisors trained up now.
