Expressions of Interest - TasFarmers Representative on the Tasmanian Heritage Council

We are seeking expressions of interest from members who are passionate about preserving Tasmania’s heritage while ensuring the voice of primary producers is heard in key policy discussions.

TasFarmers has the opportunity to nominate a representative to the Tasmanian Heritage Council, a body that plays a vital role in advising the Government on heritage matters. Having a strong agricultural voice on this council is essential to ensuring that the needs and perspectives of our sector are considered in heritage decision-making.

If you are interested in representing TasFarmers on the Council, please contact our office to express your interest. The nominated member is the only member of the large Tasmanian Heritage Council that has to own a heritage listed building. Almost half the places on various Tasmanian heritage lists are owned by the farming community.
