Simplot Potato grower meeting called 13 July 2022

The TFGA Simplot Potato Negotiating Committee have been engaged in a lengthy potato price negotiation with Simplot Australia to work towards an agreement for the 2022/23 season.

The Committee and Simplot met again on Thursday 7th July and after a robust meeting, negotiations remain ongoing. A revised offer will be presented to the Committee early next week.

The Committee are now calling a follow up grower meeting to provide an update so that growers can consider their options for the upcoming season and the future direction of the potato industry. The meeting will be held next Wednesday 13 July at the Deloraine Rotary Function Centre, starting at 2pm. The Committee have invited Simplot Management Staff to address growers.
