The TAS Farm Innovation Hub, TIA and TasFarmers invite you to an “Autumn Pasture Walk” and presentations.

Presenters will include Sophie Folder - Drought Resilience Coordinator with TasFarmers, Rowan Smith - TIA Feedbase Researcher and Dwayne Schubert - Barenbrug Australia.

 

When:               Tuesday 8 April 2025

Time:                11am – 4.30pm

Where :            Morning presentation and lunch at the FAEC - Carpet Room

                         Afternoon Pasture walk commencing at Lymwood, 890 Memana Road, with visits to Richmond Park, 
Clifton and Wymswood.

This event will include morning presentations, and an insightful pasture walk featuring discussions on:

  • Assessing pasture conditions this autumn and whether to renovate.
     
  • Making key decisions on fertility, break crops, herbicide options, sowing rates, and species selection.
     
  • Talking about the findings of growing red meat productivity through the selection and establishment of perennial legumes.
     
  • Strategies for managing pastures in a variable climate and planning for successful establishment next autumn. 
     

A free lunch is included.
